About us

Our story

A family business in Dearborn, Missouri, built as a shared dream and named for Dominic.

The dream

Dominic’s Doggie Den started the way a lot of good things do — as a shared dream between family. We wanted a place where dogs in our corner of Missouri could be boarded the way we’d want our own dogs boarded: with room to run, real play time, clean beds, and people who genuinely pay attention.

We built it about 400 feet from our own front door. That’s on purpose. If a dog needs us, we’re there in under a minute — day or night.

Who you’ll meet

Colleen

Colleen, Dominic’s mother, is the one who greets you at drop-off, learns your dog’s name before you have finished the paperwork, and sends the photo that shows up on your phone that afternoon.

She lives 400 feet from the kennels. That is not a line from a brochure — it is why someone is always close enough to notice when a dog needs something.

Building this place in her son’s name is the whole reason it exists.

This place carries his name

Naming the Den after Dominic was never a question — it was the whole point. Every dog that comes through these doors is cared for in his memory, and his face is on the sign, the shirts, and the plaque by the door.

The foundation is where his memory lives on.

Why this place exists

Every stay gives back to theDominic Sevier Forever 13 Foundation

This is not a side project or a seasonal campaign. It is the reason the Den was built. When you board your dog here, a share of what you pay goes straight to the foundation carrying Dominic’s name.

of every booking

Not profit, not leftovers. Five percent of what you pay for your dog’s stay.

Every month

not once a year

The donation goes out monthly, every month, for as long as we are open.

The busier we are, the more goes across. That is the whole idea.

Part of Dearborn

Supporting the town that supports us is part of how we operate.

We opened alongside D.B.’s Coffee

Our grand opening was a joint event with a local business, because that felt like the right way to start.

Guests brought dog and cat food to the opening. All of it went to the pantry, so local families can feed their pets too.

Living on the property is not a marketing line. It is why we can respond in under a minute.
